In July 2016, Salisbury Rovers Football Club was awarded a Wiltshire Community Foundation Grant worth £10,000 over two years to establish a unique community football project in two areas of Salisbury - Bemerton Heath and the Friary. This was called the ‘The Beautiful Game Project’.
The Project continues on the Friary and is now self-funded by the club. Commitment to the community lies at the very heart of our club. The sessions allow children resident on the Friary (between the ages of 9 and 16) to have access to FREE football sessions with FA qualified coaches. The project runs on:
The Beautiful Game Project was awarded 'Best Inclusive Project' at the Wiltshire County FA Awards in 2017. We always welcome volunteers and can offer FA DBs checks and opportunities to coach. If you have any questions at any time, please contact Debbie Sayers at [email protected] or 07543654971. |
