Girls and football

Picture
We appreciate that sometimes the football set-up at grassroots level can seem unwelcoming to females - young and old. We aim to change this. We can offer a welcoming environment and positive support to girls wanting to play football.

We believe, just like in school, boys and girls should not be segregated in sports at early ages. There is no reason for it and it can become an excuse for clubs to treat the girls game separately and less than mixed football.

We include all children and treat every child as an individual.

We are committed to ensuring girls feel welcomed and valued at our club. We will provide personal support to any girl who wants to start playing but who feels a little nervous. We completely understand the reasons for this. But we say - Don't be afraid! Just contact our club secretary, Debbie Sayers, at
Salisburyroversfc@outlook.com  to discuss further.
