Football is for EVERYONE! We welcome ALL girls and boys. If you love football, we want YOU!
Children’s soccer is not about short-term wins, it’s about love of the game and long-term player development. Because of our approach, we don't hold trials and there's no selection. Every child gets equal time on the pitch. Kids get better by playing, not by watching!
With mixed teams and equal playing time, the game is much more competitive with more chances to learn and to lead. We believe this way all players can become good players and good players can become great players! We believe there is ample evidence to support our philosophy.
Also, for kids of all abilities, learning about effort, resilience, excellence, team work, RESPECT and community is crucial and of longer-term value than plastic trophies! All children are valued and respected at our club irrespective of their level of experience or development level..
Details of our club sessions are below. We aim to make our club accessible and affordable for all kids so we will also be moving round the city, taking football out to the community!!
Our club sessions start again on 9 September and will be held at Five Rivers Leisure Centre (outside) every Saturday.

Years up to and including school Year 4 play at 10am to 11am.
Years 5 and above play at 11 to 12.
Please arrive promptly for the start of these sessions and do contact us if these split timings cause any problems.
All children are welcome to attend: from children in our teams, to those who prefer to play occasionally.
The sessions will be led by DBS checked, FA qualified coaches who have FA Safeguarding and FA Emergency Aid Cerificates, They are supported by our DBS-checked volunteers.
In addition to the coach designed section of our sessions, there will be plenty of time just to get on and play a game of football.
If you are coming to the sessions, please download and complete a 'pay as you play' session form here. Everyone who attends must complete a form whether or not you wish to become a member of the club.
There will be a one-off registration fee of £10 (paid ONLINE) and then all sessions will be 'pay as you play' with costs varying between £3-£5 per session depending on activity. The registration fee helps with club's financial planning for the year.
New players may attend one session at the 'pay as you play' rate before paying the registration fee.
We are always happy to discuss costs confidentially if finances are an issue.
Session fees are paid into a yellow honesty box at the start of every session.

A calendar of events will be issued every half-term setting out the special sessions, matches etc.
How we coach
We have a very clear and specific way of coaching.
We do not have kids standing being lectured at by coaches or waiitng for a turn of the ball. Nor do we constantly direct play, telling children how and what to do on the ball.
Our coaching philosophy has been agreed by all our coching team and is supported by evidence. It draws from the most progressive practice in the game including the FA's 'England's DNA'.
Our session plans are always available and we welcome your questions on how we deliver..

Our coaches are FA qualified, have FA First Aid and Safeguarding certificates and FA DBS checks. In addition, club officials and volunteers from the club will always be present.
There is a signing in and signing out system for all children and any parent wishing to leave their child must check with club officials.
Parents/guardians remain responsible for the children at all times and should remain onsite. If you need to leave the venue then you must arrange for another adult to take responsibility and agree this arrangement with the club secretary.
Session timings may be subject to change because of weather or because of seeding work undertaken on the pitch in the summer.

Our sessions for the season will be on: Sept 9, 12, 13 Oct 7, 14 Nov 4, 18, 25 (Note: Sept 30 and Nov 11 are busy days for the centre so we will look for an alternative venue/times). Dec 2, 9, 16 (indoor - must be booked in advance) Jan 6, 20 (indoor - must be booked in advance) Feb 3, 24 (indoor - must be booked in advance) March 3, 10, 17, 24 April 21, 28 May 5, 12, 19 June 9, 16, 23, 30 July 7, 14, 21
What the children need to bring
It would be great if you could encourage the kids to think about what they might need for their session. We think this should include:
A water bottle.
Sports wear - anything suitable and comfy. It doesn't have to be the latest kit! We aim to get a kit exchange started soom.
Trainers - the ground is very hard presently so trainers should be fine.
Shin pads - you can usually pick these up for a couple of pounds from sports shops but let us know if you are stuck as we have a couple of spares sets.
Boots if the ground is muddy. We have some spare boots and we will get a boot exchange going soon.
As we build the club, we will be looking to play matches and will need managers to run teams. Again, we are committed to supporting people to get FA coaching qualifications. Our philosophy is very clear. Matches are for kids to try out their skills. We will not be directing from the sidelines or adopting rigid formations, or positions. If you feel you would like to get involved in encouraging kids to think about the game for themselves and in supporting their creativity - just let us know!

One of our core aims is to run an inclusive club where no child is 'priced out' of football.
To ensure this happens, we'd love to discuss sponsorship opportunities with you! We very much want to work with local businesses to make sure our club stays community focussed. We are very proud of our Salisbury roots and want to include kids from all over the city!
Our aim is to provide safe, fun, affordable, accessible football to all kids. Football is our national game and we want to encourage all kids to play it and love it while staying healthy and active. We aim to help kids reach their potential by developing their footballing skills and abilities and ensuring that talent pathways are available to them as they progress. But we also want to provide opportunities for kids to make friends in a safe space where they feel their ideas and opinions genuinely matter. We want the kids to feel part of their community - this club is their club.
Sponsorship opportunities come in all shapes and sizes and it really doesn't have to cost the earth. For example, we will offer:
kit sponsorship for teams or individuals
funding for qualified coaches on an individual, monthly or seasonal basis
sponsorship of basic equipment like balls, goals, bibs
pitch hire, again on a monthly or seasonal basis.
We are also open to discussing partial funding of any of the above. All sponsors will be listed on our website, Facebook page and in our annual reports. We are also very active on social media.
